In the USA, most of adults drink coffee. Also, 82% adults drink THREE cups of coffee per a day!
Well, Why is coffee one of the world's most popular beverages in the USA? It relates the USA's combination of wealth, trading power, and fondness for coffee.
Coffee in daily American life have so long history. Also, the media has played a role in sharing and shaping coffee consumptions in the USA.
During 1990, columbian coffee was used a new ad campaign. This campaign made coffee popular. Also, a similar situation happened for the instant coffee; Nescafe Gold Blend.
However, during the late 19th century, soda waters became popular beverages in the USA. Then Soft drinks especially Coca-cola have been competing with coffee for over a year.

I was so surprised about 82% adults drink three cups of coffee per a day! I think many american people have to wake a long time to work with caffeine.
It is interesting history for me! I have an image which American people always drink soft drink. But originally, most of them drink coffee. I was surprised.

返信削除When I read this post, I remembered that when I was an exchange student in the United States, the first thing my host family did in the morning was making coffee. And a lot of my American friends liked coffee so I was not so surprised by that fact!
